December 2010 – World Firework Championships |
Dragonfire were assigned the task of providing technical support to six of the leading pyrotechnic production companies taking part in the Oman World Fireworks Championships. When the organisers of the competition needed the best technical expertise to select and manage the site for the biggest competition of its type in the world, they turned to Dragonfire. Working closely with the WFC event organisers, the Dragonfire team worked over the last 9 months to ensure that the championships ran perfectly, focusing in particular on safety. Dragonfire provided both site management staff and experienced crew for each of the competing teams representing USA, China, Australia France Italy and the UK. October 2010 - Dragonfire assist launch of HMS Duncan |
In the latest of an ongoing relationship with BAE Systems Surface Fleet, Dragonfire provided an array of daytime effects for the launch of the last of the Type 45 Destroyers built on the Clyde. Designed and implemented by Dave Mason, Dragonfire's display manager for Scotland, the launch trip out on the deck of the new warship was an unforgettable experience for the crew. |

October 2010 - Commission for the Nigerian Government |
Dragonfire staged two displays in Lagos to mark Nigeria’s 50th anniversary of independence. A Dragonfire crew of 5 successfully battled against the complexities of international shipping and frequent storms once on site. The displays were attended by the President and State Governor, who saw their own portraits presented in lancework, as well as the crest emblem of Lagos. Negotiations are underway for a further display at New Year. |

September 2010 - Volvo Truck launch |
A week long event heralded the arrival of the new Volvo FMX series truck with daily pyrotechnic reveals set in a quarry where the trucks were put through their paces. |

September 2010 - World Heritage site celebrates |
Dragonfire provided the finale to the concert celebrating 10 years at Blaenavon Ironworks as a Unesco World Heritage Site. The display including special pyro effects on the ironworks most significant and iconic feature - the water balance tower. |

August 2010- Fabulous Finale for the 1st Serenata Festival |
The country’s new open air classical music festival was a tremendous success. Held in a spectacular setting at Kimmeridge in Dorset, the festival drew to a close with a set by Russell Watson. This was followed by a musically choreographed firework display that accompanied Prokoviev's “Montagues & Capulets” and “The Pines of the Appian Way” by Rhespighi. |

August 2010 Tatton Park Concert a spectacular success |
Two wonderful summer evenings with world-class artists and fantastic fireworks, located in the stunning lakeside setting of Tatton Park on Saturday July 31st and Sunday August 1st. The famously theatrical firework finale were set to highlights of opera's most dramatic music ever: Wagner's masterpiece 'The Ring'. The magnificent Ride of the Valkyries and the heroics of Siegfried and all the Gods came alive in time to breathtaking percussive fireworks. A huge fireship accompanied "Siegfried's Funeral March" sailing majestically across the lake. Sunday was a night for Will Young fans as the platinum selling artist performed live. |

May 2009 Brasenose 500th Anniversary celebrations |
The sky over Oxford lit up on May 9th with a spectacular display of fireworks and flame effects for the 500th anniversary celebration ball at Brasenose College. An elaborate installation needed significant planning as well as co-operation from neighbouring All Souls College and the Bodleian library. "To see the awesome setting we were lucky enough to have lit-up in such a special way was a truly breathtaking experience", said the Brasenose entertainment manager Jack Barrett. "I was hugely impressed by the professionalism of the Dragonfire team". |

Autumn 2009 Birmingham Artsfest |
Dragonfire were pleased to be asked back to support the Artsfest concert in Central Birmingham in September. The display featured a flaming sword hanging in the night sky to accompany the CBSO's performance of The Ride of the Valkyries. As well as aerial fireworks from four locations, there was a complex Maltese Wheel located on the roof of the House of Sport. |

December 2008- 150 years of Badminton School |
Dragonfire were commissioned to provide a display to mark the 150th anniversary of the famous Badminton School in Bristol. The pyro-musical display included a special set piece to mark the event, from which silver fountains and fans of comet stars emerged. |

September 2008 Artsfest display a huge success |
A Dragonfire firework display was watched by a huge crowd in Birmingham's centenary square. Fireworks were fired from four rooftop locations around the square, as enthralled spectators enjoyed the performance of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. A giant RAF logo which turned into an enormous Catherine wheel accompanied The Dambusters March as part of a tribute to veterans attending the event. |

March 2007 - EICA display spans Birmingham rooftops |
Birmingham hosts the European Indoor Championships in Athletics at the National Indoor Arena. Dragonfire were commissioned to perform a display fired from five locations in the city centre, set to a musical soundtrack, as a send-off for the competitors and organisers of the largest Athletics to be hosted in the UK before the Olympics. Feb 06 - Robert the Bruce Commemoration, Dumfries |
A carefully researched themed display which included both a fire drawing and a large lancework. The display was based on events from the life of Robert the Bruce and was commissioned by the Robert the Bruce Commemoration Trust to mark the 700th anniversary of the slaying of Red Comyn in Greyfriars Church. |
